That icon of ’70s excess is back. Sierra is developing Leisure Suit Larry 8: Magna Cum Laude with a modern flair (an early teaser suggests a Grand Theft Auto influence) but without original creator and game designer Al Lowe. The series originated in 1987 with Larry’s soft-core antics in the Land of the Lounge Lizards. Lowe created Larry under a work-for-hire contract but says he’d be glad to work on the new game (due in 2004) if Sierra came calling….
