We’re not always huge fans of what Skrillex is doing, sure, but we like it when people push boundaries and embrace new ways of thinking. So when we heard that the good folks at OWSLA were putting out a BitTorrent bundle to celebrate the label’s 3rd birthday, we jumped on it. For a long time, people in the music biz were of the frame of mind that torrents were the industry’s sworn enemy. Turns out that maybe everyone can get along after all.
The OWSLA bundle is chock full of dubstep tunes and other niceties from over the last few years, including the mighty Dubplate by Moody Good, the huge Rebel remix by Trollphace and the hauntingly gorgeous Xtalk by Hundred Waters. In total there are 21 phat tunes, as well as a few bonus goodies like videos, art work, merch discounts and a free month of Drip.FM membership. You can’t say fairer than that.
It’s been a big year for Skrillex and it’s nowhere near over. The dubstep don will be embarking on a 27-date US tour this Autumn along with acts like DJ Mustard, DJ Snake, A$AP Ferg and Big Gigantic. No doubt it will be huge, so check it out if that’s your thang.
