San Sebastian’s WIP Europa showcases films that are primarily European, at the post-production stage, and this year’s lineup will include features from Turkish-Italian filmmaker Seyhmus Altun, Georgia’s Nino Akhvlediani, Lithuanian Jurgis Matulevicius and Germany’s Sarah Miro Fischer.
The films will be screened for producers, distributors, sales agents and programmers and will compete for the WIP Europa Industry Award, which assists with post-production, and the WIP Europa Award, worth €10,000 for the main production company of the film that comes away with the WIP Europa Industry Award.
Turkish-Italian filmmaker Seyhmus Altun’s debut film Memento Non Mori will join Georgia’s Nino Akhvlediani’s third feature, In A Grove, as well as Lithuanian Jurgis Matulevicius’ second film China Sea following the fimmaker being nominated for the European Film Academy’s European Discovery – Prix Fipresci award.
The lineup will also include the debut film ‘Blue Marks’ from Miro Fischer.
