I’m A Celebrity: Anne Hegerty is SEVENTH star to arrive in Australia

The Chase quizzer Anne Hegerty is the seventh person to arrive in Australia as an I’m A Celebrity contestant.

The 60-year-old, known as The Governess on the hit show, told The Mirror she is scared about letting people down in the jungle

Speaking ahead of the series, she said: “I have been here before to do The Chase Australia.

“I am always intellectually stimulated with meeting new people so I am looking forward to that.

“The main thing I am scared about in the jungle is letting people down.”

Asked if she was interested in finding love in the jungle she joked: “What with koalas? Who can say.”

Referring to her on screen tough persona she said: “I dont take nonsense but The Governess is a character based on members of my family and a bit of me.

“It will be interested to see what people think of me. I never miss much when I am in Australia.”

Other stars already Down Under to take part include Coronation Street star Sair Khan, Hollyoaks star Malique Thompson-Dwyer, X Factor runner up Fleur East, TV host Nick Knowles and football manager Harry Redknapp

The show kicks off on Sunday night on ITV at 9pm, hosted this year by Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby.

Anne will know at least one of the other celebrities joining her in the jungle.

The Governess will remember Harry Redknapp as someone who lost cash as he crashed out of a 2016 charity episode of The Chase – on a question about football.

Harry was asked: “The tune of The Stars and Stripes Forever is used for which football chant?”

He chose Glory Glory Man United and was stunned to learn it was actually Here We Go.
